President Brain Tumor Network, The Sontag Foundation, Spring Bay Companies
Rick serves as President of Brain Tumor Network, The Sontag Foundation, and Spring Bay Management. He also oversees venture capital firm Spring Bay Companies. His career began with the purchase of Unison Industries, where he spent more than two decades growing the company from a small operation into a global business. Unison was sold to General Electric in 2002.
Rick’s connection to brain tumor advocacy began in 1994 when his wife, Susan, was diagnosed with brain cancer. After navigating her care, he set out to create resources that would make the path clearer for others. The sale of Unison enabled the launch of The Sontag Foundation and later the Brain Tumor Network, both focused on supporting patients and improving outcomes.
