As we commemorate Brain Tumor Awareness Month, Brain Tumor Network reflects on the 3,000+ unique stories entrusted to us over the past ten years. Each narrative is a journey we’ve had the privilege to share in. Our navigators are present at every step, walking alongside patients and experiencing the ups and downs of their cancer journey right beside them.

As statistics about brain cancer flood your social media this month, we’re inspired instead by the stories of resilience and courage from our community, and are celebrating a decade of unparalleled navigation support and transformational impact.
Founded on the personal experiences of Susan and Rick Sontag, BTN has grown into a beacon of hope, providing personalized navigation services at no cost to the brain tumor community since 2014.
Our unique approach and dual-navigation model ensures that patients and caregivers benefit from both a Nurse and Social Work Navigator, receiving tailored clinical and psychosocial support to address the many issues that can arise throughout the brain tumor experience.
Testimonials from our patients and caregivers highlight the importance of our high-touch, relationship-centered approach to impactful support. Their words describe how our commitment extends beyond just immediate care concerns.
We’re deeply integrated with the neuro-oncology community through our partnership with The Sontag Foundation and its Distinguished Scientist Award recipients, building upon 20+ years of relationships that enhance our capacity to help individuals access novel therapies and quality healthcare. Through facilitation of second opinions, identification of local community support resources, and nationwide identification of clinical trials personalized to each patient’s unique molecular pathology, BTN is empowering the brain tumor experience, ensuring unique, individualized support every step of the way.

With your gift, you become a vital part of our goal to stand by the side of those embarking on their brain tumor journey.
