“BTN gave me my life back.”

– Mary Ann, BTN Patient

This Giving Tuesday, give $12 on 12/1 and help us reach 121 donors, so the next family facing a brain tumor doesn’t have to face that fear alone.

Why We’re Asking

Mary Ann’s Story

It started like a sinus infection. Then scans showed a 6cm brain tumor, and almost overnight, Mary Ann was in brain surgery.

Specialists and treatment decisions followed. Even as a trained patient advocate, she was in over her head. “I found myself consumed by fear and overwhelmed by the uncertainty of what lay ahead.”

She searched online for help and found Brain Tumor Network. Her nurse navigator explained her treatment options and steered her to experienced, specialized care close to home. That’s how BTN works: we meet people where they are, because not everyone starts with the same resources. For Mary Ann, that meant personalized clinical trial navigation, information on support groups, and someone to call when the next question came up. “The support was endless,” she said.

“I was in a place where I was safe and I mattered,” Mary Ann said. “BTN gave me my life back.”

Now she’s raising money so the next family doesn’t have to find their way alone. Join her this Giving Tuesday.

Someone will hear “brain tumor” today

Like Mary Ann, they’ll go from an ordinary day to a diagnosis no one expected, with a hundred questions and no idea where to start.

When they reach out to BTN, they’re paired with a dedicated navigator who helps with everything that comes next. From finding knowledgeable specialists or a clinical trial, to help with daily needs and support for the caregiver holding everything together. Just as often, it means having someone who listens.

Your tax-deductible $12 helps make sure someone is there when the next family reaches out.
