Neuro-Oncology Social Work Navigator
Tanya serves as a Neuro-Oncology Social Work Navigator at Brain Tumor Network, where she provides compassion, psychosocial support, advocacy, and program guidance for individuals and families facing a primary brain tumor diagnosis. After several years helping people through a different career path, she earned her Master of Social Work from Florida State University in 2014 and went on to spend eleven years as a medical social worker at Mayo Clinic Florida, primarily in dialysis and oncology.
Her years of experience walking alongside patients and families facing life-altering medical diagnoses shape her approach to care and support. Tanya is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Oncology Social Worker, and a Qualified Supervisor for social work interns.
